I'll save money on gel and hairspray for a while....

Like Mother like Son...
Isaac got a grab of some scissors in the bathroom
and went to town on his hair.
*For the record* Papa was babysitting while mommy was at work :)
Sounds bizzarre I know... but although I was laughing,
I was secretly crying when I saw his hair.

Poor guy

After a buzz cut. It's still uneven but I refuse to go any shorter.
So much for the shag we were growing out for Spring.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

My mom turned the big 50 yesterday. She looks fabulous I know.
On her birthday she took Isaac skiing.
I don't know a lot of grandma's that would do that.
My mom is amazing. I am so thankful for everything she does and is.
My favorite memory is when my mom would work graveyard
she would still manage to stop and get bagels for us kids.
I was sitting in my primary class when my dad told a story of my mom donating plasma in the begining of their marriage
so she could buy my dad something that he wanted.
I am thankful for her example.
She's made me realize how much talent I have and
that I can have the best of both worlds. She manages to do it all.
Ready to go!

He did such a great job!

Thanks mom and dad for taking him!

Get ready for the lift!

So excited for this week! CC, Saylor, Bobby and Sawyer are coming tomorrow! Can't wait to kiss that new little monkey. Our family is spending the weekend in Park City.We will miss Kortney. We are so proud of her.Keep up the hard work Kort!

Sundance 2009..A new found obsession

These last two weeks I had an awesome
opportunity working
for Sting and his wife Trudie Styler at
Sundance Film Festival.
I was a little star struck
(especially after seeing Sting in his boxer
briefs on accident) but
it was so fun working with such beautiful clothes.

I raced from Park City to see James Morrison and Adele.
I am so glad I didn't miss this show. She is probably hands
down the best live singer. I liked her live better then her album. She's my new obsession.

You know someone loves you when....

George and I were at dinner and I was craving Peppermint brownies from
Kneaders. But they were going to close before we would be done with our meal.
George called Kneaders and bought 6 brownies and put them on his credit card
and told the employee to leave them by the door.
Sounds extreme but I LOVE them. And him...

George got tickets to see Adele. I know he doesn't
particularly want to see her but he bought them
because he knows I like her.
I just hope Sundance film festival isn't too busy
so he'll be able to join me!

*This is Isaac finding his surprise Christmas tree.

A look back on 2008.
Instead of sending everyone a Christmas card with pictures
and paragraphs of telling you how great I am and how Isaac is the next
genius..and some witty humor to keep you enticed while reading my
front and back page letter.. Seriously why do people do that?
ZZZZ...boring. Okay okay I am just kidding.
I thought I would share pictures from our busy year.

Me and Paris
Karl and I
My family in Times Square
Taj Mahal

Stonehenge

Statue David

The Red Square
Pagoda
*Isaac had a meeting to
attend to..hence the business attire

Machupicchu

Great Pyramids of Egypt

Effiel Tower

We hiked Mt. Everest for FHE.

Great Wall of China. Isaac looks so happy
because I told him he could eat noodles for dinner.

OKAY Seriously....
2008 was a crazy year. I am a week away from being done with school.
I am looking forward to it because I won't have to be to the
salon until 10 am. Which means I won't be rushing with Isaac every morning.
We'll be able to enjoy our Captain Crunch together.
I was a seasonal employee at Gap,
but they have asked me to stay on board.
Isaac LOVES writing. His favorite thing to write is his name (izooc)
Kortney and Christopher left this morning to head back to Washington DC.
We will miss that little boy. The house is going to be too quiet.
And as of two days ago..Kacey, Bobby and Saylor welcomed a new little boy.
*I'll let her blog the details before I post pics.
Looking forward to 2009!

Christmas 2008

Isaac in his Sunday best.
* This is my brothers suit from 26 years ago.
Isaac opening his 2nd set of gifts in his room.
*Everyone set up a small tree in his room and after
opening gifts we sent him upstairs to look for the important ones.
He was so excited. Thanks to my family for planning that surprise!

Isaac's very own tree.

Tool set!

I wish I had a picture of Isaac's Christmas list he made at school.
He asked for a box of nails!?!?!?!?

I need more Kodak!

It seems as though I never have a camera at the right times.
Last weekend Isaac, George and I went to temple square.
Let me back up...we MEANT to go to temple square.

Our date in SLC was shopping at Gateway, CPK and driving by temple square.
We stayed in the car because it was too crowded and Isaac was tired (aka cranky)

*These pictures are when
Isaac came to visit me at work.

To each their own....

For the past week I have been traveling back and forth
to Orlando. Pssstt....Salt Lake and Denver are the worst airports.
I didn't realize how much I loved Orlando/Winter Park until
I came back for a day (twice.)
I miss a lot of things about it. Mostly how much
time Isaac and I had to bond. From 6 months until
he was a few months shy of 3, it was just us.
Some of the things I miss..

Saylor Sophie and her mom and dad.

The feel of the south.

Feeding the ducks with Isaac at Lake Lily.

Chick-fil-A restaurants.
None of this mall food court business.

Things I could do without in Utah.....

SNOW!!!!

Loud kids in movies.

SNOW!!!!!

THE COLD!!!

Listening to my newlywed clients
who can't afford rent or let alone the hair color I am giving them
but all the mean while they are wearing $200 jeans.
I shouldn't complain about listening to them because they tip well. :)

But that's the least of my worries.
I'm just focusing on making it through the winter without freezing.
